Bryn lived for years as a sensitive perfectionist with anxiety coursing through her veins. Through Core Energetics she began to find the root cause of why she was so anxious and take steps to drastically reduce her suffering.

She works with artists, healers and entrepreneurs to help them overcome imposter syndrome and make more money with their gifts through healing childhood habits, patterns and trauma. Her story about the path to healing has been featured on Tiny Buddha, Introvert Dear and the CourageMakers and Rare Birds podcasts.

How to access your intuition when you’re in fight or flight mode – and why this is so important for business owners. (6:50)

When you’re in a stress cycle, you often fall into black and white thinking. Things are either safe or unsafe. As a magical business owner, this means business decisions can seem crushing – and because there are so many little decisions we need to be making as business owners, it can create an incredible amount of stress. It’s harder to access your intuition, creativity, and think outside the box. Being flooded with cortisol can prevent you from accessing your deep knowing.

The more you can complete this stress cycle and get to a grounded place – maybe through meditating, which can help soothe the nervous system – the easier it will be to access your own intuition. You can also do this by calling on god, the universe, or some other higher power. When you get out of the “scarcity” feeling, you’ll overcome these stress cycles much more quickly.

“The mindset of scarcity can slow down your progress as an entrepreneur.”

How to know when you’re in a stress cycle. (11:15)

When you’re in a stress cycle, everything feels hard, like you’re pulling a boulder up the hill. It’s the difference between feeling tired at the end of the day and feeling completely drained. You might start feeling irritation or impatient with others. Fear, frustration, anxiety, and anger are all indicators as well. Often your breathing will be more shallow, rather than breathing into your belly. It manifests differently for everyone. Tune in to hear Bryn dive into how you can understand these cues in your body.

“We’re here to be in the moment and access our peace.”

How to complete your stress cycles. (20:06)

The first step is understanding when you are in a stress cycle, if you’re procrastinating or being a perfectionist, whatever it is. The second step is to understand what you feel drawn to that will help you complete them. It might be yoga or anything that makes you feel good – going for a walk, petting your dig, masturbation, sex. It can also mean watching TV or movies that make you feel calm and centered (rather than bingeable TV shows that are designed to keep you elevated so you keep watching more). There are so many ways to do this that are perfect for you. Tune in for even more ideas to try.

“One of the best ways to complete your stress cycles is to move your body for fun, in a way that feels good.”
